A museum for art lovers and kids
The in Neu-Ulm born artist Edwin Scharff (1887–1955) was one of the most important sculptors in the first half of the 20th century. The museum’s permanent collection shows sculptures, paintings and documents by Scharff and his contemporaries. Furthermore, the museum presents works by Ernst Geitlinger (1895-1972), a pioneer in concrete art. Special exhibitions with an emphasis on 20th century art complete the programme.
The children’s museum invites its visitors to experiment, discover and learn playfully. The changing exhibitions cover many different topics from scientific to social fields. Hands-on experimentation, play and discovery are explicitly welcomed and encouraged.
Rest areas, the café, a green courtyard and a gift shop complement the experience.
There's a car park right beneath the museum. Simply follow the signs "Museen am Petrusplatz" / "Tiefgarage am Petrusplatz".
