Big Band Ulm e.V.

The longest-serving big band in the Ulm region has been playing swing, funk, Latin and rock for over 40 years – for the fun of good music and a passion for jazz!
The 20 amateur musicians under the direction of Jens Nüßeler have made it their mission to make their own contribution to cultivating the great music of the big band era. With tributes to Count Basie and Duke Ellington, the memory of the famous names of this era is kept alive. But this can’t be done with doggedness or routine playing – it can only be done with a lot of joy in playing, and you can hear this in the Big Band Ulm’s line-up of saxophones, trumpets, trombones and rhythm section from the first note to the last.
The Big Band Ulm was founded in 1977 and has been a registered non-profit organization since 1983.
