Helga Lachmayer

I, Helga Lachmayer, grew up with two sisters in Cologne. After school and training as a retail saleswoman, I worked in my profession for more than 35 years. After getting married in 1983, I left Cologne and moved to beautiful Swabia. After a long illness, I became unable to work. During my recovery, I found my way back to long-forgotten passions: a passion for sculpting, designing and painting. I felt particularly connected to painting and my emotional world, which was influenced by my illness, had an impact on my painting. I didn’t need any motivation.
I only put the brush aside when I let my feelings run free in the picture.
I gave free rein to my feelings. This resulted in pictures and motifs with different color fusions.
I refined my techniques with each painting. With marble powder,
modeling paste and colors I gave my pictures expression.
