Gospelchor Wiblingen

As its name suggests, the Wiblingen Gospel Choir primarily sings gospel literature of various styles, including all the musical genres with which gospel has been associated in the 20th century: Blues, rock, country, boogie, rap – there are also one or two pop ballads in most programs.

The movements and arrangements are usually written by choirmaster Albrecht Schmid.
The choir currently consists of 20 female voices (9 soprano, 5 mezzo, 6 alto) and 8 male voices. The choir usually sings with piano accompaniment. Solos from the ranks of the choir are also presented and encouraged.

In addition to around 10-15 concerts per year (in Ulm and the surrounding area), the gospel choir also sings at church services in the Wiblingen parishes. Rehearsal weekends (usually in the fall) are used to work on new pieces and prepare for Christmas concerts.

There are no entry requirements – a little knowledge of English and some experience with your own singing voice are of course an advantage.
