Helga Lachmayer

I, Helga Lachmayer, grew up with two sisters in Cologne. After school and training as a retail saleswoman, I worked in the profession for more than 35 years. After getting married in 1983, I left Cologne and moved to beautiful Swabia. After a long illness, I became unable to work. During my recovery, I rediscovered long-forgotten passions: my passion for modeling, designing, and painting. I felt particularly connected to painting. My emotional world, shaped by illness, influenced my painting. I didn’t need any motivation.
I only put the brush aside when I had given my feelings free rein in the picture.
This resulted in pictures and motifs with different color combinations.
I refined my techniques with each painting. I used marble powder,
modeling paste, and colors to give my paintings expression.
