TThe vocal ensemble ulmer münster is made up of singers from the Ulm region who are members of various choirs and share a passion for high-quality ensemble music-making.

Depending on the style and the repertoire, the size of the ensemble — which has been active since 2012 — varies. Each year, it prepares two concert programs.

In 2012, for example, the ensemble performed a concert program accompanying the Andreas Felger exhibition. In 2013, it presented Buxtehude’s cantata cycle Membra Jesu nostri; in 2014, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Mass in B minor in a widely acclaimed performance; in 2015, the sound-visual Münster journey “Viewed from the Outside” as well as Joseph Haydn’s Creation during the “Days of Early Music.” One of the highlights was the 2017 performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers of the Blessed Virgin at the “Festival of Early Music.”

In addition to vocal suitability, participation in the ensemble requires the ability and willingness to prepare music independently.
