Declaration of accessibility

declaration of accessibility

This accessibility statement was created on 26/07/2021 and applies to the version of this website currently available on the internet (www.kultur-in-ulm.de).
Our aim is to make the website accessible and easy to use for various devices, including mobile devices.

Accessible according to WCAG 2.1 and BITV 2.0

Our benchmark for accessibility is the success criteria of the international standard, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, as well as the largely identical requirements of the BITV 2.0 (Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance).

Not accessible

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

Incompatibility with Section 10 (1) L-BGG

none

Disproportionate burden

Embedded content from third parties (or cultural professionals) cannot be offered barrier-free without restrictions, as this content was not created and uploaded by the website operator; this applies, for example, to embedded YouTube videos. Some of these are not offered with subtitles. The individual cultural profiles are created by the cultural players themselves.

There are many links to external websites, YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, Soundcloud, etc. on the cultural profiles (created by the external cultural professionals). We have no knowledge or influence over the accessibility of these websites.

The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legal provisions.

Integrated events that automatically flow from the veranstaltungen.ulm.de portal to this website cannot be offered barrier-free. The images of events have no alternative text as they are not maintained by the City of Ulm's cultural department but are entered by the external organisers themselves. Unfortunately, the event portal itself does not offer the option of entering an alternative text for images.

Our language

We endeavour to write our blog entries in such a way that they can also be understood by readers who are not so familiar with the topic. The event descriptions and cultural profile texts are created externally. We - the cultural department of the city of Ulm - have no influence on the wording.

Adaptable design

We have implemented our website according to the responsive web design approach: a layout optimised for smaller screens.
